The Swallowtail Festival

The PC’s arrived early during the day of the festival. Drizzit took it upon himself to explore the city and find a inn they could stay in and perhaps find out a few rumors in town. Meanwhile Astaron found a few locals at the festival that wanted to try and prove their strength against a minotaur, but soon found themselves beaten by him. The rest of the party made their way to the new cathedral and pay their respects to the gods.

Soon the festival was on its way and people were laughing, drinking and eating to their hearts content. Later that evening Father Zantus prepared to make his speech, and was just about to when a shrilling shriek was heard. A few seconds later the city of Sandpoint was overrun by goblins.

The PC’s all made haste to defend the citizen as mush as possible. Finally the goblin raiders were defeated and the northern gate were they also saved the noble Aldern Foxglove. The PC’s made their way to the “Rusty Dragon Inn” were the owner Ameiko offered them 1 week of free rooms for their bravery. An acolyte of Father Zantus was sent to fetch the PC’s and they were told someone had been into the crypt and stole the bones of the former minister – Ezakien.

The following day was spent with Aldern Foxglove on a boar hunt. A successful hunt later and the PC’s once again found themselves in the Rusty Dragon Inn eating and drinking. Later that day they were called upon by the Sheriff Hemlock to see the mayor and discuss the events that had happened.

At the meeting with the mayor they also met the elf ranger Shalelu who told them all about the goblin activity in the area. Something didn’t add up she said. Normally there are five goblin tribes who all bicker and fight each other, but someone or something is organizing all the tribes to work together. Sheriff Hemlock decided that it would be best if he rode south to raise more soldiers that could defend Sandpoint from a second raid if there were to be one.

Glass and Wrath

The PC’s were just about to enjoy the breakfast when the hafling chef Bethana Corwin approached them and told them that Ameiko had gone missing. She had also found a note singed by her half-brother Tsuto, who in the note told her he was responsible for the goblin raid and wanted to meet her to come to the Glassworks. Since she was still missing the PC’s decided to check it out for clues.

Once the arrived they found the Glasswork was locked, all the windows sealed but smoke still rising from the chimneys. They made their way around back and broke down the door (since Drizzit couldn’t lockpick it fast enough). Inside the found that all the staff had been killed by goblin who still roamed around in the Glasswork. The PC’s cleared the entire area of goblins and went downstairs into the cellar to look for Ameiko.

They found her bound and unconscious in a storage room. They also found Tsuto down there, ready to fight for his life as he attacked the PC’s without hesitation. A small battle was fought against before they killed him. In his office they also found a journal he had been keeping. He seemed to be the man behind the goblin raid, but he mentioned his “lover” going through some kind of transformation, and that the Thistletop goblins were going to launch a bigger raid on Sandpoint and burn it to the ground.

Before they left the Glassworks they also found a secret tunnel leading out to the coastline, and there they also found a new tunnel leading into the ruined tower in Sandpoint

Catacomb of Wrath

The PC’s followed the tunnel leading in under the ruined tower. There they were attacked by vicious creatures know as Sinspawned. They battle they’re way through the catacombs and came across on of the goblin “heroes” know as Korvous.

After defeating the goblin they only found caved in stairways leading both up and down. With no other way to go forward they returned to a huge door they past earlier. Here Kuri, the Shardmind Ivoker, found runes that suggested that this place was a “Runewell” created by a Runelord Alaznist some thousand ears ago. They entered the chamber and was confronted by a Erylium demon. They fought hard and finally defeated her, and by doing so it also seemed to drain the catacombs of its power.

The PC’s also found a really old book which was written in some unknown language. Kuri decided to keep the book and try to learn its secret later.

After the adventure in the catacombs the group returned to Sandpoint for a well earned rest.
